Against the odds of distance Aidan Gee and team GFR - Gee Family Racing, from Townsville, North Queensland has completed it’s first Queensland season of Sprint Car competition.  As it is a huge change to racing on bitumen, Aidan is running true to form by feeling his way, and getting to know and understand his race car, his competition and his way around the different circuits.  

By the end of the 06/07 season, apart from mechanical issues, he was advancing convincingly towards the pointy end of the competition, as proven at Cairns Speedway, against some of the best, finishing 4th in points at the end of the first night, with the crowd cheering him on, but had to pull out of the second night of the competition due to mechanical problems, much to his and the crowds disappointment.  As he mainly had to be his own pit crew in karting in the later years, he is the first one to appreciate that it’s best to look after his car and engines, to race another day than not at all.  

Striving to go from strength to strength, as he has shown in his Kart racing career with grit and determination, he is looking forward to the coming season and the whole team at GFR are 100% behind Aidan, and know he will put in a determined effort.
